This lovely battery operated clock truly represents the charm of the Black Forest woodlands. From the top of the shingled roof, a rustic chimney stack emerges from the middle of the chalet. The cuckoo appears from its door, flanked on either side by a light flower and white dotted motif on the trim. On opposite ends of the clock’s dial, charming miniature windows are decorated with green shutters and floral boxes.
The base of the timepiece captures the rustic nature of the wooded outdoors. A woodcutter works, raising his axe up and down to chop. Surrounding him, are the intricate details of the natural surroundings – an owl sits perched atop a log, while in the center amid the grass, stands a small squirrel. Other quaint touches include a wooden fence, pile of logs, water pump, stones, and a tree trunk and leaf motif along the back of the base.
