This delightful clock evokes the beautiful and lush region of the Black Forest. The traditional cuckoo emerges from its door, situated above a group of dancers twirling about on the floral decorated balcony. Below is a woodland setting featuring a gentleman seated at a small table, toasting and raising his glass of beer in the air. Besides him stands a dog, while behind, a covered water wheel gently spins along. Nearby, a woodcutter is hard at work, chopping logs to add to the pile of firewood near him. The welcoming tableau is further accented by the decoration of windows with floral boxes and green shutters, a stack of logs, and fir trees. Adding an additional flair to the wooded motif, colorful floral patterns are painted at the bottom of the base, and along the trim underneath the roof.
