Authentic German Traditional Cuckoo Clocks from the Black Forest

Our traditional style cuckoo clocks come in railroad station house, nature and hunter styles. These cuckoo clocks have a more classic look that pre-dates the chalet (house) style. Common traits are a natural wood look with leaves, birds and other animals such as bears, owls and deer, the stag being the most common. Hunter cuckoo clocks often also have a horn, bag and rifles. All are hand carved in the German Black Forest.

There are carved leaves with lighter colored carved lines on each of the four corners of the clock. The distinctive feature of this clock is the oval shaped rounded clock face. The cuckoo door above the dial opens when the cuckoo bird calls. There is a larger carved cuckoo bird sitting on top of the crown on the roof.

1-Day Schneider Traditional Black Forest Coocoo clock without music. The face of the clock is crosshatched. There are two large maple leaves on the tow top corners of the clock box, two leaves on each side and one at the bottom in the middle. Different tones of brown accentuate the clock dial in the middle with light colored numbers and hands. The cuckoo comes out from behind his little door above the dial to call. A larger carved cuckoo bird sits up on the top of the roof.

The dial in the middle has lighter colored Roman numerals and hands with a “Schneider” and “made in Germany” engraving. The door for the cuckoo bird above the dial has the initials “AS” carved on it. On top of the crown, a larger carved cuckoo bird is about to take flight with its beak half open.
