This Christmas themed, large oval table runner features a small German village nestled deep in the snows of winter, surrounded by pine trees. The village itself is pictured centered in the midst of the runner on its exterior edge. It is repeated on both sides and is done in gold and white thread. The centerpiece of the village is a traditional church with a steeple that overlooks the scene. Above the village and to the right is a moon outlined in gold with silvery stitching for the interior. A line of pine trees runs around the entirety of the border, connecting the two villages together.
The pine trees are covered in white snow with dark green threadwork for their boughs. Beneath the trees and village, the snow itself is finished with golden detailing to showcase the small hills surrounding the scene. Stars outlined in gold and filled with silver, similar to the moon are set between each pine tree. Golden thread, interspersed with yet more stars, outlines the interior border of the linen following the contours of the exterior edge. The edge is finished with a line of gold and white stitching. When viewing this table linen, it is readily apparent why Funke is widely known for creating only the highest quality German table linens.
