A beautiful and intricately carved wooden sculpture, this statue of St. Hubert holding his crossbow with an arrow at the ready is hand carved from maple wood and painted with oil based paint in a beautiful variety of blended and lightly textured colors. The design also features gold plated accents painted along the edges of many of the lines throughout the sculpture. From his calm, peaceful expression and traditional hunting attire from long ago, complete with his feathered hat and flowing cloak, this sculpture is an amazingly lifelike representation of St. Hubert. The mysterious stag which he famously encountered with a shining cross between its antlers rests calmly at his feet.
