A beautiful and intricately carved wooden sculpture, this statue of St. Anthony holding a representation of Christ as a young child is hand carved from maple wood and painted with oil based paint in a beautiful variety of blended and lightly textured colors. The design also features gold plated accents painted along the edges of many of the lines throughout the sculpture. From his calm, peaceful expression and flowing monk’s robe complete with beads and a crucifix to his Bible and bouquet of white lilies, this sculpture is an amazingly lifelike representation of Anthony of Padua.
