A beautiful and intricately carved wooden sculpture, this Madonna of Peace statue of The Virgin Mary is hand carved from maple wood and painted with oil based paint in a beautiful variety of blended and lightly textured colors. Mary is shown standing and looking upon the baby Jesus cradled in her arms as he touches her hair. The design also features gold plated accents painted along the edges of many of the lines throughout the sculpture.
