This beautiful wooden statue of an intricately designed Nativity scene carved from maple wood features Mary holding a cradle and Joseph holding a lantern as they look upon The Lord, Jesus in the cradle Mary holds as he opens his eyes after his miraculous birth. A kneeling shepherd with a lamb sit beside them and a donkey and bull look on from behind them beyond a fence. Behind the animals, a finely detailed tree stands tall and two cherubs rest upon a cloud beside it with one playing a flute and the other singing hymns, completing the majestic scene. This Raffaelo Crib statue is hand carved and painted with oil based paint in a beautiful variety of blended and lightly textured colors. The design also features gold plated accents painted along the edges of many of the lines throughout the sculpture.
