A beautiful and intricately carved wooden sculpture, this statue of Jesus shown as The Good Shepherd, holding a lamb and a shepherds crook is hand carved from maple wood and painted with oil based paint in a beautiful variety of blended and lightly textured colors. The design also features gold plated accents painted throughout the hem of the cloak and along the edges of many of the lines throughout the sculpture. From his calm, peaceful expression and flowing white robe with a red and gold cloak and a wooden shepherds crook resting at his shoulder while holding a lamb, this sculpture is an amazingly lifelike representation of Jesus as The Good Shepherd. Three more lambs rest at his feet as they gaze upward toward the heavens.
