Long Journey, released in 2015, is a dynamic and charming figure from the ANRI Ferrándiz Nativity collection, capturing the spirit of travel, determination, and gentle storytelling that defines the beloved Ferrándiz style. Designed by Spanish artist Juan Ferrándiz, this figure reflects the innocence, warmth, and expressive character that make the Ferrándiz Nativity series so distinctive.
Wrapped in a green scarf and matching head covering, the determined traveler strides forward confidently on her journey. She wears light brown trousers with a yellow sash tied around her waist and carries a shoulder bag, suggesting a long and purposeful path ahead. In one hand she holds a walking stick, guiding her steps as she travels toward the Nativity.
Adding playful Ferrándiz charm to the scene, two lively bunnies accompany her journey. One hops cheerfully between her feet while the other bounds alongside her leg, bringing movement, warmth, and a touch of whimsy to the figure.
Hand-carved from fine Alpine maple in Italy and carefully hand-painted in warm, earthy tones, this sculpture showcases the detailed craftsmanship and storytelling artistry that made ANRI carvings treasured by collectors worldwide.
