Listen!, released in 2016, is a charming and expressive figure from the ANRI Ferrándiz Nativity collection, capturing a delightful moment of curiosity and quiet wonder. Designed in the beloved storybook style of Spanish artist Juan Ferrándiz, this figure beautifully reflects the innocence and imagination that define his nativity characters.
The young boy stands attentively with one hand cupped behind his ear, as if trying to hear a distant sound. In his other hand he holds a wide straw hat, while his curious expression suggests he may be listening for the angel’s song or the quiet miracle of the Nativity night.
He is dressed in green trousers, a red shirt, and a flowing brown cloak that adds movement and warmth to the scene. At his feet sits a small blue and red bird, looking up as if sharing the boy’s moment of wonder.
Hand-carved from fine Alpine maple in Italy and carefully hand-painted in Ferrándiz’s soft, joyful color palette, this figure highlights the craftsmanship and storytelling artistry that made ANRI carvings beloved by collectors around the world.
