This beautifully decorated, Christmas themed square tablecloth is done in a deep red color that makes it a very unique piece. Repeated at each of the four corners of the linen is an arrangement of holly, a pair of Christmas bells and two candles. The candles are situated as the centerpiece, one slightly taller than the other, with the Christmas bells at their base. The bells and the candles are detailed with a lovely pink color. Surrounding the bells are deep green holly branches and leaves that allow the arrangement to stand out from the background. Each element is either outlined or detailed with shining golden thread, including the flames of the candles.
Beneath the candles and bells, fanciful swirls of red stitching, also outlined in gold and accented with stars, trace the exterior of the corners. This design is complimented by a line of yet more golden stars of varying complexities. Along the edge of the linen and centered between the bells and candles are smaller arrangements of holly and branches. Similar patterns of red and gold stitching extend outwards from the holly, tying them together with the bells and candles. The gold threading is repeated in the center of the linen in the form of a large, curve-sided octagon. The octagon is decorated with all of the various types of stars featured on the linen and makes the perfect spot to place a centerpiece. This linen’s complex design and stunning use of color makes it readily apparent why Funke is widely known for creating only the highest quality German table linens.
