Decorated in a design of beautiful tan and brown half-timbered trim, this timepiece is a lovely example of the quintessential Black Forest chalet cuckoo clock. Resembling a quaint chalet nestled in the woods, the cottage is cheerily decorated with red shutters and floral boxes on the windows, and a chimney stack from the gabled roof.

Below the cuckooing bird, people spin around on an open upper balcony to the charming tune of the music box. At the base, a gentleman fishes from a small pond, moving his rod and reel up and down in time to the cuckoo’s calls.  Within the stone lined miniature lake, a fish watches with its head sticking above the surface. Next to this tableau, a rustic waterwheel in front of the chalet lazily spins about. The scene is further complimented by the intricate details of a stone wall design around the base, a water pump and trough, fir trees, and small rocks.
