This timepiece depicts a quaint woodland chalet, decorated in a half-timbered trim design, and adorned with bright red shutters on the windows and balcony. The cuckoo bird calls from its door, as below it, children spin around on the balcony to the clock’s music. At the base, a young boy and girl are at play upon a teeter-totter. As the music box chimes, the children seesaw up and down. In tandem, a waterwheel at the side of the chalet spins around close to a miniature stone lined brook. Near the creek and wheel, is a fir tree and a small water well. On the opposite end of the clock, a stag stands behind a wooden fence, and against a backdrop of finely carved trees.
