Straight from the pages of the classic German story, the Nutcracker and the Mouse King, comes Uncle Drosselmeier in the form of a nutcracker! This stunning hand carved nutcracker is dressed in very classy gentlemen’s attire. He is wearing Drosselmeier’s trademark eyepatch and his outfit features a large, light red top hat with a dark green band and a holly leaf and berries secured under it, a long grey coat with black buttons and red cuffs, a green bow tie with his ruffled lace shirt peeking out from underneath the coat and his gold watch and chain suspended on his coat. Over his coat he is wearing a black cape lined with red cloth and his pants are black with white pin stripes. His shoes are shiny black dress shoes and he is carrying a black cane topped with a golden circular handle and a mini soldier style nutcracker as a gift for Clara, his niece. The glaze brushed over this nutcracker brings out the beautiful details in the wood grain.
