This beautiful, German, decorative wooden weather house is a charming example of the traditional German folk art device, the weather house. This clever device reports the temperature and humidity in a fun and unique way. When the weather is dry, the Black Forest woman figure comes out to stand in front of the house and enjoy the nice day. When the weather is humid the Black forest man figure comes out to brave the tough day. This weather house features a traditional chalet house with a Black Forest woman in a traditional dirndl dress and a Black Forest man wearing fine gentlemen’s attire complete with a top hat and tie, holding an umbrella. Outside the house, a deer grazes near an evergreen tree and another tree stands beside a carved wooden water trough which sits awaiting a thirsty farm animal, or maybe even a deer.
