This cheerful, Christmas themed square table linen features a pair of snowmen returning from a hunt in the forest for the perfect Christmas tree. The first snowman is larger and meant to represent an adult. He is assisted by a smaller snowman, meant to represent a child. The adult snowman has a black top hat accented with a bright red band. His scarf is the same red, as is his carrot nose. His eyes are the traditional deep black pieces of coal. The body of the snowman is the same white as the linen, outlined in black with raised white stitching. The child snowman is the same in all regards excepting he is smaller in size and his hat and scarf are blue. He is also wearing a beanie hat with a pom-pom instead of a top hat.
The tree they are carrying is outlined in raised, dark green stitching. Its interior is filled with a zig-zag pattern of lighter green thread. The trunk of the tree is done in a light brown color. Both snowmen are set upon black lines accented with white threadwork, representing the mounds of snow that surround them. The snowman design is repeated on each of the four corners of the tablecloth. Placed in an alternating pattern between the snowmen is a cluster of three small pine trees. Each tree has the same green stitching, but is outlined in white to mimic that they are covered in snow. Although the design for this linen is fairly simple, its delightful use of color and subject matter makes it easy to see why Funke is widely known for creating only the highest quality German table linens.
