A beautiful hunting themed timepiece made by August Schwer! Elaborately carved after an antique model and stained in dark walnut, this particular clock boasts meticulous detail. The classical styled roof is decorated with a pattern of forest leaves, as it is topped further with carvings of a mounted stag's head and two rifles. Below, the cuckoo emerges from its miniature door, with waltzing couples spinning on the balcony above the clock's face, dancing to the chimes of the timepiece's music box.

Situated on opposite ends of the dial are wooden sculptures of a hunted rabbit and pheasant, framed against a continuing trim pattern of forest leaves. Completing the huntsman motif, a hunting horn encircles the clock's dial, while a powder pouch hangs at the bottom of the base.
