This round, Christmas themed table linen is a classy reminder of the Holiday Season. The linen features a series of holly arrangements interspersed with bright golden stars. There are two differing types of arrangement, one large and one small. Four of each size are pictured on the linen. They are arranged in an alternating fashion along the exterior edge of the linen on a line of golden thread. The holly has green leaves that fade from dark to light towards the center of each leaf. All of the arrangements have a cluster of dark, red berries in their midst. The larger arrangements have six berries, while the smaller arrangements have three.
Between each arrangement are three shining, golden stars. Swirling and zig zag patterns of golden threadwork join the line of holly and stars to the linen’s border. The golden patterns are accented by raised stripes of white stitching, which are placed at regular intervals along the linen’s edge. This helps create a defined border. When viewing this piece, it is readily apparent why Funke is widely known for creating only the highest quality German table linens.
