A beautiful and intricately carved wooden sculpture, this statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe with her hands folded in prayer is hand carved from maple wood and painted with oil based paint in a beautiful variety of blended and lightly textured colors. The design also features gold plated accents painted throughout the rays of light bordering the sculpture, the golden designs on the robe and along the edges of many of the lines throughout the sculpture. With her calm, peaceful expression and flowing blue and red robes with ornate golden designs, this sculpture is an amazingly lifelike representation of Our Lady of Guadalupe. She is shown in the traditional way in which she is depicted at the famous Basilica of our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City with rays of light around her and a cherub and crescent moon below her.
