This beer stein is a replica of an original from the Middle Ages. It is dedicated to Emperor Charles V.
On September 15, 1556, Emperor Charles descended from the throne and divided his inheritance between his son Philip II and his brother Ferdinand I.
On the stein, Emperor Charles V is flanked by knights. His son Philip II is shown to the left of the handle and his brother Ferdinand I is shown opposite.
The unique base rim features lions and crowns in high relief.
Even the pewter lid of this mug is special, it is not a pointed top but a crown.
The original model was sculpted at the time by Peter Dümler (1860-1907). Each mug is made in old traditional handwork and elaborately painted by hand.
This Beer Stein was once made by the Manufacturer Thewalt GmbH and is now reproduced by the KING-WERK Company.
