This graceful figure from the ANRI Bernardi Nativity depicts a modest village woman in a brown robe and white headscarf, carrying a jug balanced on her shoulder. Barefoot and quietly purposeful, she represents the humble daily life surrounding the nativity story. Hand-carved from Alpine maple and painted with soft, earthy tones, she is a beautiful example of Ulrich Bernardi’s naturalistic style. As ANRI has ceased production, this piece is among the final remaining in our collection.
