Hunched forward with age, this elderly peasant woman leans on her staff while carrying a small sack in her other hand. Dressed in a yellow robe, red cloak, and green headscarf, her weathered face and posture reflect a life of humble perseverance. This figure is a beautiful example of Ulrich Bernardi’s ability to capture human character with warmth and realism. Part of the discontinued ANRI Bernardi Nativity collection, this hand-carved piece is among the last available. A touching addition to any nativity display.
