Listen!, released in 2016, is a charming and expressive figure from the ANRI Ferrándiz Nativity collection, full of personality and childlike curiosity. Dressed in green trousers, a red shirt, and a flowing brown cloak, the young boy holds a straw hat in one hand while the other is cupped behind his ear, as if trying to catch a distant sound, perhaps the angel’s song or the quiet miracle of the nativity.
At his side, a small blue and red bird sits attentively, echoing the boy’s wonder. Expertly hand-carved from Alpine maple and painted in Ferrándiz’s soft, joyful palette, this figure captures the spirit of quiet attentiveness and awe. As part of ANRI’s now-discontinued 2016 release, Listen! is a rare and thoughtful addition to any Ferrándiz nativity display.
