This is a Quartz cuckoo clock running on batteries. All battery-powered cuckoo clocks feature the cuckoo call with an echo. If you don't wish to hear a cuckoo call echo, you need to choose a mechanical cuckoo clock. There are 1-Day clocks and 8-Day clocks. 1-Day clocks have to be wound every day, 8-Day clocks have to be wound once a week.
