A charming chalet clock with a unique twist! The woodsy décor of the quaint chalet is outfitted with intricate touches, such as miniature windows decorated with green shutters and floral boxes, and detailed carvings of leaves along the underside trim of the roof. Beneath the cuckooing bird, couples spin in a circle on a suspended balcony, flanked by green doors.
Along the bottom, the chalet is designed with a stone wall on the front, and fir trees lining the sides. In the center of the base, two gentlemen dressed in traditional lederhosen are seated at a table. As the music box plays, they raise their glasses of beer up and down in a cheer. However, behind the one beer drinker, his angry wife wields a rolling pin, knocking her husband on the head in time to the cuckoo calls.
Most unique and eye-catching is the suspended water wheel along the front corner of the chalet. As the music box plays its merry tune, the wheel spins around gracefully. Other details include a St. Bernard dog and puppy and a pile of logs.
