This particular Chalet cuckoo clock is very versatile, desirable for a variety of features and suitable for a wide range of occasions and wall placements. Produced in a very manageable size, this cuckoo clock allows you to enjoy the color, movement, and delicate detail work of an 8-day Chalet while still allowing you the freedom to accommodate various ceiling heights and wall widths. The design of the cuckoo clock is very colorful with rich tones of light and dark stain that pair perfectly with the hand painted figurines scattered throughout the scene. A Saint Bernard stands at attention before his doghouse on the far left of the cuckoo clock. A small bench placed directly and symmetrically beneath the clock dial is perfectly balanced by the asymmetry of a small wood pile set to its right.

Next comes the star of the show - a German lady in traditional Black Forest garb. The red balls on her hat signifies that she is single and eligible for marriage, black balls would indicate that she is already married. She rings a bell in time to the cuckoos. It produces no tone, but will move in time to the gong sound mimicking the noise of a real bell. The bell sits in a tower on the roof of the cuckoo clock that serves to give it an element of size while still retaining its compact nature. Dark green shutters and a dark green cuckoo door match to the dark wood of the trim and serve to highlight the lighter wood of the clock case itself. This cuckoo clock also features a hand shingled roof and delicate gingerbread work framing the cuckoo door.
