The Poor Boy is a tender and expressive figure from the ANRI Ferrándiz collection. A barefoot child stands on a patch of grass, wearing a patched pair of trousers with his empty pockets turned out to show he has nothing. A scarf is wrapped around his mouth for warmth, and a small blue bird perches gently on the brim of his brown hat, a symbol of hope and gentleness. Hand-carved from Alpine maple and painted with soft, emotional detail, this figure beautifully reflects the innocence and dignity of simplicity. No longer in production, this is one of the last remaining pieces from ANRI’s beloved Ferrándiz series.
