Traditional cuckoo clocks are well known for their skillful use of differing tones of light and dark stain to create contrast. This particular cuckoo clock exemplifies that method through its use of darkly stained ivy leaves to accentuate the finer details in the clock’s design. The cuckoo clock continues its natural theme with a rustic case framed by a trellis of vines and branches. The branches are carved in surprising detail with the grooves and rings in the bark treated with delicate care.
