This charming battery-operated chalet clock showcases a truly festive Bavarian biergarten! Beneath a wide sloping roof, the white painted cottage is adorned with blue framed windows, wooden wraparound balconies with heart-shaped patterned trim, and a stone wall design at the base. On the upper terrace, dancers twirl in a circle through the open doorways, spinning to the clock’s music on the hour. The long balcony, wrapping around both sides of the chalet, is bedecked with colorful floral arrangements, and a wooden sign boldly proclaiming “Biergarten.” A wooden ladder leans against the far end of the upper balcony, leading down to the grounds below.

As the dancers waltz above, the bottom base of the timepiece is bustling with the merriment of a traditional Biergarten. A charming waterwheel gently spins along to the music, while close by, a dog sits attentively near the wheel. In the far corner, a festive maypole is striped in blue and white (the traditional colors of the Bavarian flag), as a floral ring is bedecked near the top. Tied from around the flower ring, long banners hang sporting the pattern of the Bavaria flag design. Beneath the pole, the biergarten’s waitress stands, carrying multiple glasses of beer to serve the patrons nearby. Meanwhile alongside the chalet, two woodland deer rest between a small fir tree. The one fawn gazes curiously ahead, while the other kneels its head down to graze.

On the opposite end of the cottage, two gentlemen dressed in traditional lederhosen sit at a table in front of a large tree. With foaming glasses of beer in hand, they raise their glasses up and down in the air, toasting to the sounds of the clock’s music. Behind the two beer drinkers, a wooden water pump and a miniature trough sit amongst a small cluster of trees. Other minute details dotting the clock base include a rustic bench, small stones, and grass blades.
